The Mattersteig & Co. Firm for Process Engineering & Environmental Protection mbH, which is based in Markranstädt near Leipzig, was founded in 1991 with three employees. Today our team consists of approx. 40 employees and is made up of engineers and scientists.
Unser Anliegen
With a view to our future and the future of our children, our aim is to make a constructive contribution to preserving and improving our air quality. To this end, we contribute as a competent service provider with scientific methods and engineering services. With our legally compliant measurements, we aim to support companies in meeting statutory requirements for air pollution control and to prepare even complex expert reports professionally and on time.

Mattersteig & Co. Ingenieurgesellschaft für Verfahrenstechnik und Umweltschutz mbH is a notified measurement body pursuant to Section 29b of the BImSchG (Federal Immission Control Act) and operates in the field of air pollution control. Our team carries out measurements of air pollutants at industrial plants. Our customers include, for example, operators of foundries, biogas plants, waste incineration plants, waste treatment plants, as well as the chemical industry, the automotive industry, and agriculture.
Mattersteig & Co. Ingenieurgesellschaft has a broad scope of notification. In addition to classic emission measurements, we also carry out functional tests and calibrations of continuously operating emission measuring systems. We are also notified for olfactometric measurements (odour measurements) as well as for measurements of combustion conditions at plants subject to the 17th BImSchV (waste incineration plants).
